Finding a Solution for Common HR Frustrations

Think of the person who manages HR at your credit union. Do they seem stressed? Does it seem like they have an existential crisis every time payroll is due?

A credit union’s HR manager works with nine vendors to complete all company tasks, on average. These include:

  • Medical, Vision and Dental Health Insurance
  • Life Insurance
  • Liability
  • Federal and State Taxes
  • HR Compliance
  • Payroll
  • Worker’s Compensation Insurance
  • Training
  • Credit Union Policy/Procedure Handbook
  • Recruiting

With each vendor, there are often multiple contacts and multiple documents, month after month. And most of these companies use a call center for clients. You can imagine how difficult managing all these vendors can become.

Another unsavory consequence for your credit union is inefficiency. Think of how many hours per month are spent managing vendors!

One solution to these frustrations is to find an HR company that provides one point of contact for these HR tasks. This type of Human Resources Organization (HRO or PEO) handles tasks for you, and if there is a task they don’t do themselves, they manage any additional vendors. The HRO basically works as a partner, not a vendor.

Northwest Credit Union Association’s Strategic Link partner, CU Service Network, has partnered with One Point HRO to offer Idaho-based credit unions a solution called CU Works HR, which is designed to accomplish just that. Each client has one designated point of contact who is an HR expert—knowledgeable in everything from payroll to human resources.

Through CU Works HR, your credit union’s HR team can finally clear vendor management from their to-do lists, leaving them with more time to focus on the tasks that really matter.
